Claims have been made and published that 'officials' working in IPAS centres are alerting their fellow countrymen that the Gardai are about to execute deportation orders to remove them from the country that enables them to go missing.

The Irish Daily Mail reports that employees within IPAS Centres are letting residents that have failed in their asylum application know when they are to be deported. This results in the failed applicants fleeing before state agencies can apprehend them for deportation.

The rate of execution of deportation orders compared to deportation order issuance is abysmal. There clearly needs to be a streamlined system whereby the applicant must present themselves to officials to be informed of the application success or failure. If the application fails, the person can be escorted to collect their belongings and readied for deportation.
