The CASIP Strategy

CASIP is a Community Alliance joined together to campaign for a sensible immigration policy on the Island of Ireland. We fully understand that immigration cannot be controlled if we only focus on the Republic of Ireland or the North of Ireland. Our approach must be an all-Ireland approach.

As a community Alliance, we have members from all backgrounds. Men and Women from different financial backgrounds, different racial and religious backgrounds and sexual orientations. CASIP welcomes everyone that agrees to our aims, objectives and basic constitution.

Not only do our members have differing backgrounds, we also have many different skill-sets. This is a great advantage when considering a strategy to achieve our aims and objectives. It means that as a Community Alliance we can develop a strategy that encompasses more than simply public demonstrations, but rather a strategy that involves a variety of approaches, skills and tools centred on local community engagement. We are advocating for the following.

Six Steps to a Sensible Immigration Policy

1. An immediate cessation of non-essential immigration for two years

2. Persons who have entered the state but cannot be identified returned to the state from which the entered the Irish Republic

3. An All-Ireland border security protocol

4. An end to preferential treatment of persons who have entered the state over residents born in Ireland

5. Full enforcement of deportation orders within one week of the making of the order

6. A referendum on present and future immigration policy

Our strategy is quite simple and is a tried and tested method of influencing government policy on key issues. The basic steps of our strategy are set out below, defined in term of 'national level' work and 'local level' work.

1. Establish a National Working Group (NGW) whose role it is to action the strategy at a national level (National Level)

2. Encourage existing country-wide groups to join the Alliance (National Level)

3. Establish local CASIP branches throughout the Island based on self-defined localities (National Level/Local Level)

4. Encourage local branches to engage communities through leaflet drops, information evenings, media production & Town-Hall type public meetings (local level activities) advocating for our Six Steps to a Sensible Immigration Policy (Local Level)

5. Engage in national communication campaigns with political representatives in both government and opposition advocating for our Six Steps to a Sensible Immigration Policy (National Level/Local Level)

If you believe in controlled immigration into Ireland and the CASIP-Six Steps to a Sensible Immigration Policy, you should consider getting involved in some way.

CASIP does not believe that protests and demonstrations alone will change government policy on mass immigration. We believe a national strategy is needed focussing on local engagement. Click the button below for the CASIP strategy
