CASIP is a coming together of Irish civil society, organisations, groups and individuals, to campaign for a sensible national immigration policy.

CASIP understands that controlled immigration in times of plenty can be healthy for Irish society. We also understand that uncontrolled immigration in a time a finite resources is unhealthy for society leading to : a lack of services; inadequate services; unavailability of affordable housing; social incohesion and many more problems.

CASIP also recognises that by facilitating the influx of persons into Ireland with no identification we are inviting criminals to enter the state to create a new identity.

CASIP understands that IPAS application systems are being used as a means of entry for economic migrant persons, and we also understand that the majority are coming to Ireland through work visas and student visas. Scapegoating IPAS applicants as the sole contributor to the uncontrolled mass immigration crisis ignores the problem in its entirety.

CASIP are campaigning in communities across Ireland for the following:

1. An immediate cessation of non-essential immigration for two years

2. An All-Ireland border security protocol

3. An end to preferential treatment of persons who have entered the state over residents born in Ireland

4. Full enforcement of deportation orders within one week of the making of the order

5. A referendum on present and future immigration policy

6. The return of persons who have entered the state but cannot be identified to the state from which they entered the Irish Republic

CASIP does not believe that protests and demonstrations alone will change government policy on mass immigration. We believe a national strategy is needed focussing on local engagement. Click the button below for the CASIP strategy
